AboutSpringerbaai
A fusion of natural beauty, sustainable living, wildlife and incredible sea life.
Springerbaai is an eco-friendly coastal development of approximately 438 hectares along the Southern Cape Garden Route, west of Mossel Bay.
Four scenic boardwalks provide access down and over the coastal dunes to a pristine sandy beach. Public facilities include a bird hide, a nursery and a viewing deck overlooking the sweep of the bay, plus several paths and trails for walking.
The estate is covered with Gouritz valley bushveld, grassland and renoster thicket vegetation — a haven for families who want a secure, quiet coastal holiday away from the bright lights and noise of city life.

Animals
Grey rhebok, Burchell's zebra, springbok and bontebok graze the 231 ha of old cultivated land that has been returned to grassland. Bushbuck and grysbok keep to the Hartenbos dune thicket along the coast.
Birds
The open grassland suits birds of prey — secretary birds, jackal buzzards and Denham's bustard are seen regularly. The estate keeps a full bird list, and there is a bird hide near the entrance.
Marine life
Southern Right whales pass between June and November, along with great white sharks, dolphins and Cape fur seals. The shore fishing is excellent and the seabirds are varied.
